Maintenance @ AMA: Hi, United. We are currently painting N69020 and, unfortunately, ran out of the United Blue paint color while completing the last engine. As a result, engine two will be a nice mix.

I don’t know what actually happened, but the aircraft’s number two engine was painted with the correct colors earlier this month.
