Bangalore : 2 police officers of Bengaluru City Police unit PU-4KBST were on bus 244 from Kempegowda Bus Station to Indiranagar. They were armed with AK-74’s, Glock 17’s, X26 Taser’s, ASP’s and Pepper Spray’s. Anyways, back to the incident. A British woman boarded the bus. It was 10:30a.m. , so just after the rush hour. The bus was relatively full with no empty seats. The woman, claiming to be pregnant, pushed an 80 year old man off of his seat claiming that he should not even be on the bus. The officers noticed it, called for female backup, asked the woman to get off the seat. The 80 year old man was also wearing a dhoti, which came off…which was not good at all. 2 female officers of Bangalore City Police PU-2INGR boarded the bus at the next stop and politely asked the woman to vacate the seat, while the male officers helped the old man get his dhoti back on. After the woman refused, the female officers shoved her off the seat so that the old man could sit. Also the seat was marked as “Senior Citizen Only”, so she neither had a right to push him off the seat nor to sit on it. The woman then started cursing at everyone on the bus and also using racial slurs, especially on the cops. When they said that they were cops, she didn’t believe them because she was used to seeing the old khaki uniforms. They then pepper sprayed her and arrested her. After testing, she was not found to be pregnant. She was taken to Indiranagar Police Station (INGR) and is currently being escorted out of the country.
