This happened near MCAS Bogland Capital. A Bogland Ground Forces soldier, CMSgt Spencer Greene, was showing a group of 15 newly minted U.S. Marine soldiers around the MCAS. They were crossing the road between the housing area and the base when an 18 wheeler semi truck ran the red light and barreled towards all the soldiers at over 80 mph. Sergeant Greene saw the truck coming at them and managed to push the Marines to safety before the truck hit them. However, Sergeant Greene wasn’t able to dive out of the way in time and was hit by the semi. He was thrown under the truck and dragged about 600 feet before his shirt ripped and he fell out from under the truck, rolling several times before his body came to a stop, smearing his blood along the road. The truck continued speeding on, running several more red lights until it was out of sight. The Marines ran over to where Sergeant Greene was lying on his back. One of them, who was also a medic, checked to see if he was alive. Though he was unconscious and profusely bleeding from head, he was surprisingly still alive. A doctor from the MCAS came to the accident site while the newly minted Marines and several other soldiers closed down the road. The doctor examined Sergeant Greene and made the horrifying discovery that the impact had broken over 75% of the bones in his body. Unfortunately Sergeant Greene died about 45 minutes later due to blood loss. The truck was found destroyed and burning after it had a high speed crash with an office building. The driver was found inside the cab of the truck, dead. Apparently, he had a diabetic shock while driving down the road, which caused him to black out on the road. When he blacked out, his foot was on the gas, which caused the truck to accelerate. It was estimated that the truck had hit the side of the office building at 120 mph. If the driver hadn’t died from the diabetic shock, he definitely did in the crash. The Marines that Sergeant Greene were showing around were traumatized by the carnage they witnessed and of the 15, four of them quit.

The MCAS is designed to house 2000 soldiers. The base is split into two main parts: the airfield and the housing area, which is known to soldiers as the ghetto due to it’s small area and five story condo buildings. The housing area also has an elementary school (the middle and high school are three miles away off base), a park, and a supermarket. The airbase is partly military and partly civilian, with Spirit Airlines and Frontier Airlines operating flights to the east coast daily. The airport is about 4500 square feet, so very small. The airfield has a center for flight simulator training, a mess hall, an outdoor amphitheater, a soundproof library and meeting center, and a small internet room. The MCAS can hold a a total of 1000 planes, but currently houses 250 planes and 1257 people, including the soldier’s families.

Pune : Near German Bakery.
Calls start pouring in on 108 (our equivalent of 911) about some sort of explosion inside Pune’s German Bakery. Police, Fire & Rescue and EMS get alerted. 5 Pune City Police units, PU-3BGRN (FPIU with 2 officers), PU-4BGRN (Dodge Charger PPV with 2 officers), UU-1BGRN (unmarked Model 3 with 2 undercover officers), SW-1BGRN (SWAT Bearcat with 5 officers), PU-6KPRD (Tata Harrier with 2 officers) reached the scene along with 5 advanced life support ambulances, 5 paramedic cars and 4 basic life support ambulances and 10 fire trucks arrived on scene. It was a terrible sight (I can’t describe or rollymod will close). Then, a shooting took place at the Laxminarayan Chiwda Factory and Store. Maharashtra State Police unit PN-3PTRL (BMW M330i with 2 officers) saw the shooting and called for backup. They got out with their AK-74s and started shooting at the 2 suspects. They shot the suspects in the head and killed them. No one was injured in the shooting.
An investigation is on and Al-Qaeda has claimed to have done it.

Update : 1 suspect is still on the loose. He is a suicide bomber whose bomb did not detonate. We got calls on 108 claiming that the saw him in Swargate Bus Station. A SWAT team and a bomb squad found him, arrested him and disarmed him and the bomb.
