MD80 or 737 Classic

Not proved wikipedia wrong per se, as those are the official recommendations for Airbus.

However, they can takeoff sooner with limited load + higher thrust setting

737 Classic only because I flew on it more than the MD-80. I’ve flown in all 737 classic variants more than 90 times.
