EMPIRES

Yes
But buses and delivery drivers exist
And the streets are for offering easier and an alternative connectivity to apartment complexes because you can’t expect your amazon delivery van to stop on the side of the road and the driver to walk over to your apartment to deliver.

And I have banned autos and taxis, so minibuses are being used to offer the last mile connectivity

Good night then

Some info lol :

  1. All traffic signals have been installed with smart signals which detect vehicular traffic and change lights accordingly. Cycles, pedestrians, buses and trams have been given priority and will always have the first preference at traffic signals.
  2. All mosques which were built by demolishing temples will be demolished and the original temple will be rebuilt. Archaeological and historical evidence and records will be needed to do this.
  3. New car sales will come with a 150% car tax because yes.
  4. Hybrid and BS-6/Euro-6 buses have been subsidised and hydrogen buses procurement contracts have been issued by B.E.S.T, B.M.T.C, D.T.C and M.T.C.
  5. The armed forces salary and allowances have been increased by 100%.
  6. The highway networks in the country will be made better for smoother flow of traffic and border roads and infra will be built at a faster pace.
  7. We are planning to completely remove on street parking.
  8. City bus operators have been advised to buy more minibuses like the Force Traveller Smart CitiBus, Optare Solo and Mercedes Sprinter City 65/75 due to the steep rise in minibus passengers.
  9. All railway stations have been revamped and have a uniform pattern. All railway signage like station boards, platform indicators etc have been made in an updated scheme (illuminated white lettering on a blue background).

And one more thing, tobacco and drugs are banned. Possession of tobacco/tobacco products and drugs will lead to a minimum 10 year sentence with a fine of INR20 lakh.

The Indian Army has launched bus services in areas like the North east (the parts affected by insurgents), Kashmir Valley (also infected by terrorists), the naxal belt (parts of Bihar, Chattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Odisha) and the border areas. This is to provide accessible mobility to people in areas where safe and good quality public transport is unavailable. Starting fleet will be Tata LPO1618 BS6, AL JanBus BS6, Bharatbenz 1624 BS6 and AL REULE BS6 of which all are airconditioned, wheelchair and disabled friendly, bullet and mine resistant and comfortable. They will also be free service since the people in those areas do not earn much. All the buses will be painted in the Army GS Green colour with a red stripe under the windows.

Welp, you’ve successfully killed off the Pass in India. It’s a budget car, and at the price we charge for it, a 150% tax would not be profitable for us to continue there.

Honestly, India seems like Dictator Disneyland and with all of it’s megaprojects and dumb laws in this universe

I’ll try my best to explain what I am doing.
First, the redevelopment :
To make cities less car centric, the transit infrastructure has been improved (more tram lines, metro lines, trams, trains, train lines, buses, bus routes, flights etc), which is the responsibility of the company which handles the transit. The government has only laid out a plan and has issued requests to the companies (like Indian Railways, bus operators like B.E.S.T, B.M.T.C, S.E.T.C etc, tramway operators like Calcutta Tramways, Bombay Tramways etc , airlines like Jet Airways, orange, IndiGo etc and metro operators like D.M.R.C.L, M.M.R.D.A, B.M.R.C.L etc)) to implement the changes. The structures whose construction has been abandoned have been demolished and a penalty has been imposed on the developers/builders and that land will be used for other productive structures like gardens or schools or medical clinics/hospitals etc.
The redevelopment plan, which includes the roads being shifted by a few meters, building of inner cobble streets, building of shops and residential complexes and development of “squares” (like Wenceslas Square) in areas will be undertaken by the municipal corporations of each city for the road shifting and cobble street laying (like M.C.G.M for Mumbai, B.B.M.P for Bangalore etc) and the contracts for construction of new structures and the “squares” has been given to companies like Lodha, Runwal, DSS Group, Kalpataru etc.
The contracts were awarded to the lowest bidders, the lowest costing just around 10 lakh INR and the highest contract costing 55 crore INR, which is not much.

Now, for the other points :
Railway station redevelopment and matching platform height with train floor levels is actually happening in real, and is not even causing a dent in the railway budget. I’m just doing the same thing here.
And I don’t think fixing tram and bus fares is a bad thing. Banning high floor buses (entry height of more than 1000mm and 3 intermediate steps) is aimed at making commute easier for old people and the physically impaired people.
Banning cars which don’t conform to BSIV norms (doesn’t include BS-VI) is in a way, good for the environment.
Banning of autos and taxis reduces the congestion in cities because the drives are completely illiterate regarding to traffic rules and drive as if the whole road is theirs.
Banning intra-state flights (flights within the same state like Mumbai-Nagpur or Bangalore-Mangalore) is good (sort of) because people will take the train or the bus, which are more efficient and offer business opportunities to smaller bus and train operators or business for IR or State SRTC’s.
Installation of smart signals at traffic lights will only make traffic flow smoother and won’t cause any damage.
Hydrogen and hybrid and BS-6/Euro-6 buses are in no way bad for anything.
Building better highways and border infra is not at all bad.
Buying mini buses to replace taxis and autos is also not bad since it sends money back to the government (government bodies operate city bus services) and also open up new opportunities to smaller operators who don’t have the funds required to start full fledged bus operations.

Let me know if I missed anything.

Also @KGJT-9149 and @Ethan, see this first and then ask questions. I’ll answer them for sure and won’t leave you hanging.

when you make expensive things without enough money
