The Indian Railways is introducing a new class of trains, called the ICX (InterCity Xtra Speed) which will be run on select existing InterCity routes. They will have a top speed of 230kmph and a higher average speed compared to regular InterCity trains. They will use CRF-3A coaches and Vectron 230kmph locomotives.
