Cars vs. Public Transit

Oh god it’s one of those people again, honestly, they’re worse than NFT people.

Oh and besides, let’s say 2 people have only 1 car.

“Oh no, grandma is dying in the hospital, too bad she’s 45 minutes away and since my friend is using the only car we have, I can’t get there on time…”

“Oh no, I wanted to go grocery shopping and pick up some food on the way, but my friend is using the only car we have, I guess I have to carry 6 bags of groceries + food on a bus, which happens to be full, so I’m standing the entire time for an entire hour, and since the bus stop is 10 minutes away, I also have to walk with a stupid amount of weight back to my house, how convenient!!!”

who are those

exactly why you need alternatives

who carries so much groceries lmao
or
who buys so much on one day?

that sucks lmao
get more bus stops

Crypto currency idiots, can’t be bothered to explain. But money related people or some other sigma male crap that they put on Twitter like that guy is way worse.

Yeah, another car. There’s no good alternative unless you literally live in an extremely packed city that has everything within a 5 minute walk.

Maybe take a look at Walmart/Target bags.

oh

or a good public transit system and/or good walkability and bikeability

why even do so much on one day

why not spread it out over the month or smth
you’ll get new or fresh stock or maybe even see new stuff lol

and its easier to carry 1-2 small bags

That won’t work, besides, how would you like a 2 hour bike ride and back? Really spending 4 hours for that? + extra time and weight for groceries.

You didn’t listen to what I said. I said look at Walmart/Target bags for example.

Do they look big to you?

So, I only take 2 bags, reminder that I have a roommate for this example.

So I only take 2 bags, that means I have to go there almost every day, or every 2 days. Not so convenient…

Yes
my weekly shopping fits into my backpack (which i buy while coming home from school while my bag is stuffed to the brim with books) lmao

Well they aren’t, they’re horribly small.

so basically you find it difficult to walk with 2 supposedly small bags?

take a bus
or tram
or train
or do some mix and match to reach faster

and cycling/walking will be helpful if places are close to each other

I said 6 to 8.

??

Look at what I said god damnit.

You take 6-8 bags for most the week, but if you take 1-2, you’re going to go back and forth every day or so.

How much do you guys eat to finish 6-8 bags worth of groceries in one week?

sorry if this sounds rude or smth that was not my intention

1-2 bags and some stuff in my backpack lasts us 2 weeks

Meat, whatever.

I guess for 2 people that might be 3-4 bags, also not just food…

oh

Bruh…

Toilet paper, etc…

ok what
when did grocery stores start selling things other than food or are you talking about a supermarket?

“a store that sells perishable and nonperishable food supplies and certain nonedible household items, such as soaps and paper products“

oh
here grocery stores only sell fresh and/or packaged food and maybe some freshly prepared snacks

for stuff like toilet paper (no ones uses it here anyways) we go to supermarkets
