Cars vs. Public Transit

So like a 7/11? But I’m pretty sure even 7/11 has non food stuff, so…

What is with your hatred of cars?

i love to move on my own across the city for less than 50 rupees (50 cents approx)
i love to move across the country for less than 600 rupees (6 dollars, thats for 2nd class unreserved)
i love to have walkable spaces
i love to not have traffic
i love to not have to worry about getting a licence
i love to not have to pay for maintaining a car
i love to not have rubber and tar dust in the air that i breathe
i love to not annoy other people by driving my own vehicle
i love to not have to take my parents permission/assistance just because i want to go to the park
i love to not have to worry about financing a big ass box of metal
i love to be able to interact with people
i love to not waste time commuting (in a bus/train or even a taxi i could be studying/relaxing instead of driving)
i love to not worry about parking and paying for it
i love to not having to drive to perform basic activities
i love to not have random bozos in their car get angry at me because i made them follow traffic rules
i love to not see my city getting destroyed because some idiots want an extra lane to fit their ego
i love to have healthy lungs and a healthy heart
i love to not be obese/overweight even without going to a gym

some of the few 100 reasons why i hate cars

Why would you worry about getting a license?

driving license?
isnt it illegal to drive without one?

Yeah but why worry?

it costs money
its tough
and since its india, the officer would ask for some sort of bribe
the test centers are generally outside cities
i need to use my own car for training
they’ll give the most beat up, poorly maintained car for testing

Least sketchy thing in India.

bruh atleast we’re better than the usa

also its reduced now
the last time i saw something like that happen was like 6 years ago

What? No way in hell India is better than America.

Pretty sure you don’t have to bribe someone for a drivers license, or have 6 times more impoverished people living there, with really horrible sewers and other things.

Yeah, they’re annoying, glad it hasn’t been recommended to me yet, lmao.

Also I find it funny that they thing electric cars, bikes, busses, trains, etc are really eco friendly, but they clearly don’t think about the slave labor and the pollution of making stuff lmao.

Also, another thing I find absolutely hilarious is that vegetarians think that they’re saving animals by only eating plants, but guess what, other animals eat plants too, so farmers kill those, lmao.

Especially hogs, screw those things. :skull:

ok

lmao average carbrains thinking they are doing good for the environment

ok

true

its subjective anyway
also i think youre living in the 80’s or smth idk

we used to bribe
now its all automated, except the test
my mom went for a retest 3 days ago and staff were only there for the tests and everything else was automated

population matters
we have like a billion people so what did you expect
also most of them are illegal rohingya’s who came here during the 1971 war

what

So someone makes a valid point and you just insult them? Honestly not surprised. :skull:

India is currently home to around 40,000 Rohingya refugees who have run from persecution in Myanmar. Based on the most recent official report from the Indian Government from 2011, there are around 269 million people in India that live below the poverty line. This means that around 0.00015% of people below the poverty line are Rohingya.

just came on and saw this thread, and I just had to respond to this

he’s right. the battery-powered vehicles use a lot of slave labour to get the right materials for battery production, such as lithium. Lithium is also not sustainable enough for it to really be considered “eco-friendly”

not to mention most ways to charge BEVs and vehicles powered by wires/third/fourth/fifth rails use fossil fuels
