Airbus A220 or Embraer E2

I mean why not, when they already have NEOs flying in there, so the smaller E2 won’t be a problem

Now sir, that’s where you’re wrong. The CS100 can do trans-Atlantic flights from airports like LCY, something the E2 cannot do.

How far is 13 meters, in comparison to Atlanta’s runway, for example?

I mean Riga to Dubai isn’t even 3000nmi

No, but it’s farther than the E2 can fly.

No, wait
E190-E2 range - 2850nmi

Riga to Dubai: 2332nmi

That’s what I was gonna say

Even if you put an E195-E2 in there you got 300nmi to spare

Still wanting to see any A220 flights the E2 can’t do

It’s not like the A220 has any regular transatlantic flights, like the A321neo

Again, speaking of quiet…

Hypothetically, there is loads of flights the CSeries can do that the E2 doesn’t have a prayer in making. Especially when you consider that Airbus is selling a version of the CS300 to Breeze that has 4000nm. I wonder what they’re planning on using those for

forgot to mention that the flights should be currently operating or planned to start soon. Oopsie

You implied that. That’s why I said hypothetically.

oh, so you need to say hypothetical routes because essentially every A220 route currently in operation can be done by the quieter, more eco-friendly, superior E2?

To some extent, yes. Reunion to Chennai (longest CS flight) is cutting it close for the E2, but if we ignore reserve fuel supplies, the existence of weather, or the possibility of needing to divert, then yes, the E2 could fly it. However, Air Austral wouldn’t make as much per flight as the E2 can’t fit as many people, which means they’d have to run additional flights, which means that the eco friendliness of the E2 is canceled out by the need for more flights to serve the same number of pax.
