Well, UA gives you DEN, LAX, SFO, IAH, EWR. AA gives PHX, DFW, SEA, JFK, BOS, LAX, MIA. And WN is too many to list.

You can be anywhere in the lower 48 within 7 hours, a main benefit of being a pilot is you can effectively live anywhere your airline flies to

Yes, but living at base is easier. Plus, if you live in a place with only like one daily service, you’d have to base your entire schedule around your commuting flight.
