Even better. If it’s the 1s the 739 is using 1R, but that Sam Chui video (A339), the plane only used about half of 1R.

Boeing really just wanted to compete with the A340-300 and the Il-86

I mean if an A339 flying out to Portugal can outperform a 739 doing short to mid hauls, it’s really underpowered.

the big problem of the -900 is that it can barely pull up before tailstriking, not underpower tbh

The last time I tried using the Alaska 739 on SFO 1L, it literally took off with inches to spare.

A321 has a similar problem but its engines are way more powerful (not NEO).

And the irony is, the short field packages are fitted on the 739s and still they perform badly

Yes considering that they added Latin American airports and KMIA is an important origin for those flights

oh I had to takeoff with flaps 10 on the -900 and flaps 1 on the A321

No do flap 5
It’s a fair test that way, both are minimum flap settings
