No.
Anything that has over 100 seats is not considered an RJ.

for me personally it’s rather based on range what’s considered a regional jet

You have a point, but most planes with under 100 seats don’t tend to have a massive range (there are a few exceptions, as is the case with anything else.)

So a 757 can be considered a regional jet in your case

when did i mention the 757

You didn’t. I’m just giving an example

Yes yes the A350-900ULR is regional

But yeah, regional for me is much more range related

On the other hand, we also have JAL’s 217t A350-900s…

Yeah never mind

Oh yeah, don’t forget the 747SR (and -400D)

747-400D, 500+ seat 777-300s…

No, that was ANA, but they serve a very similar purpose.

Well, they, too, had 747-400Ds and 747SRs

JAL’s A350-900s have 369/391 seats, probably some of the densest if you don’t count those (nightmarish) 10-abreast A350s flown by FrenchBee and Air Caraïbes.

Here’s a fun experiment: Do you consider the 737-100 a regional jet?

If your answer was no, then the A220 isn’t a regional jet either (and even the E-Jets aren’t regional under that criteria)

E170 and 175: Yes
E190: Debatable, depends on seat configuration
E195: No.
