World Flying Community Off-Topic Discussion (Part 17)

Doesn’t work like that.

But it just does.

Smaller space = less room for random stuff

GaAaaeeeEee.

Yea but it’s not like they’re the size of a cabinet lol.

Except for when you’re in Japan, where they find ways to stack absolutely anything to maximize storage space.

Tbh I don’t really see the appeal of the 1/400th scale ones unless you’re doing like an actual model airport.

Otherwise you’re just spending $30, $40, $50 or more on what is essentially a matchbox plane that’s been painted to look like a real airline’s livery.

That’s just me though, and you do you (nothing wrong with having a hobby). I know you think my financial decisions are weird anyway.

Silence liberal.

Okay, jokes aside, what you said isn’t really true.

Matchbox is for kids, those models are for display. Also great for making money. I can sell my models and I’d earn more than $2000, which is pretty good if you ask me.

Also, I could say the same about you. Why do you collect snowboards? You only use one at a time, and you’re essentially just paying $500 for a piece of wood.

Yes and no. I regularly take two boards with me on days when I know the condition will change.

Each one serves a purpose too.

The Bataleon (the colorful one) is a powder board, so I mostly take it after a storm.

The K2 (black and red one) is a pretty basic all terrain, it’s what I take most of the time and is solid for park, groomers, pretty much anything.

The NVRSMR (the one with the stickers) is my beater board, it’s what I use for early/late season where exposed rocks are likely so that I don’t destroy my nicer ones.

Not entirely true. Lots of adults collect match box and hot wheel stuff. They’re worth a lot too if you have an older one that’s based on an actual car and not just the weird design ones.

I mean my shelf has some of my 1/400 scale models, they’re cool to display if they gotta special livery, otherwise, a plain old American A321 on your shelf is boring as heck

That’s fair, and I actually take back my statement because I just remembered that I spent $40 on a hot wheels RS200evo and Quattro S1E2 model.

They’re actual models from a collector series, not just basic hot wheels.
