World Flying Community Off-Topic Discussion (Part 16)

Biggest airport in the US goes brrrrrrr

Have you been to either of those? The old SLC was kinda tight in the final years, but it was designed for '50s traffic. The new one is pretty big and spacious. ABQ is a small/mid-size airport, it’s not big, but it also doesn’t handle too many passengers so space isn’t a huge problem.

ATL looks way bigger, better, and way more room to move around.

maybe they forgot about the terminals part and 90% of the size is taxiways so it actually sucks bc taxiing takes forever

Looks is the key word there. There’s more concourses, but they’re smaller than Denver’s.

Does your airport have an amazing hotel? A museum with tons of cool planes near it? Lots of rare planes you won’t see anywhere else? Actually comfortable terminals?

Biased.

That’s one of DIA’s most recognizable features.

Only been to DEN once

You just say that because you like DEN a lot.

Name one plane at ATL that you won’t see anywhere else.

No, a lot of them.

764s, 767s, Minidogs, and some others, like the A330.

Yeah we get those, and Latam has quite a lot of 763s in TAM’s livery!

Those are literally everywhere

Pretty sure other airports see 717s, even in Australia

Ever been to SLC, JFK, EWR, IAH, BOS, or ORD?

MSP, DTW and BOS go brrrrr

If you can’t name them, it doesn’t count.

Literally DL’s most common long haul plane

I didn’t realize that SLC gets arrivals from all of their long haul destinations tomorrow:
AMS-SLC DL A339
CDG-SLC DL A339
FRA-SLC 4Y A333
LHR-SLC DL A332
AMS-SLC KL B789

Even SAN gets a330s

Yep, and it’s probably their favorite too. It’s well suited to most long haul routes.
