Bro my neighbors got a letter on their door from someone in the neighborhood complaining about how loud their kids are in the backyard and so they decided to have their kids go in the backyard all weekend and scream + they have loud ass royalty free music blaring

I’m in literal pain atm

This is such a childish way to deal with problems

Well…I saw a video from Colby ExPlanes, and the thumbnail said something like the new aircraft is gonna kill the 350…so maybe the 797?

Nah, 787-ER family

I’m hoping for the 797 to be some 757 with long range good engines and a fricking good looking plane

The jokes about Asian parenting aren’t completely false.

I guess this pretty much sums up my point.

I doubt that this will actually kill the A350 though. The 787ER will undoubtedly be a much better A350 competitor but there will still be slight differences in the markets they serve. For example, a potential 787-8ER will not affect the A350 that much due to its much lower capacity and as a result, the different purpose(s) it serves. The 787-8ER will probably kill the A330-800 but not the A350-900 for the reasons stated above.

The A350-900 is kind of stuck in between the 787-9 and 787-10 in terms of capacity and exceeds the range of the current 787-9. A 787-9ER will most likely compete with the A350-900, while a 787-10ER may also serve a similar purpose but possibly to a lesser extent.

Finally, for the A350-1000, a 787-9ER may match/exceed its range (8700nmi for a 316t -1000) but not in terms of capacity (290 for the 789 vs 369 for the 35K.) It is closer to the 787-10 in terms of capacity (330 for the 78X) but its closest competitor will actually be the similarly-sized 777-8 or 777-300ER.

I finally left the IFC

congrats ig

This isn’t planned currently

Well no, the A350-900 competes almost 1 to 1 with the 787-10 and especially the upcoming -10ER. The 787-9 competes with the A330-900, so yeah I’m somewhat puzzled on why they’re making a -9ER, though Coby did suggest an attempt to compete at Project Sunrise.
