Which manufacturer do you think will dominate this decade?

Put newer and more efficient engines under the wings, new avionics ,better wing design

757x is ready

Idk, they would probably just get ridiculed for not building a clean sheet design

they should not do that again and should be as transparent as possible

It’s not a redesign
It’s literally more fuel efficient engines. That’s simpler
Even if it was a new design it’s the same work for the NMA

Not by the airlines, just the stupid media

737s get new engines all the time :joy:
How difficult could it be?

very easy

Boeing 757-X Changes:

Upgraded Radar
Updated Cockpit Avionics, inspiration from the 787 and 777X
Carbon Fiber Fuselauge
Boeing Sky Interior
Larger Control Surfaces (Elevators, Ailerons, Rudder)
Improved Engines from GE or RR
787 Wing
Spilt Scimitar Winglets (maybe…)
Improved Landing Gear
LED Lights on the exterior
787 type windows

Well, the 737 design is simpler. It’s meant to be changed. The 757 is different. The pylons are designed specifically for engines from decades ago. There’s little room for adjustment. They would need RR or GE to design a new engine to fit the current mold.

So, at the point, a NMA would be easier. At least in my opinion.

Intentionally. P&W is done. They’ll never have their engines on a new aircraft.

Btw, NMA concept rendering from Boeing:

thats a 757
with raked wingtips and better engines

Looks too much like a 787-8. They need a design similar to the 757-200 – narrow and long.

everyone likes the flying pencl

Yeah but when did GE have 757 engines?
