So it’s that kind of question again: Q400 or ATR72?
A Brief Overview
Both were developed as advanced regional turboprop airliners, and are similar in terms of range, passenger capacity and size. However, since the ATR72-600 is newer than the Q400 by 11 years, it is more modern and has enhanced features for passenger comfort, efficiency etc.
Nevertheless, the ATR72-600 is still the closest competitor to the Q400.

The deal with the Q400 is if you add one knot you float like crazy and if you slow down by a knot the plane literally stalls to the ground
