Your Length is how long the shape is, your width is how wide it is. Your Height is how tall it is like a building technically.

Surface Area is for 2D

Volume is for 3D

Just to clarify here, the height of a triangle is the perpendicular from the base to the opposite vertex. Since there are three possible bases, there are also three potential heights of a triangle.
