PC vs. Mobile Simulators

So many of you use Infinite Flight, and a few of us use X-Plane or Microsoft Flight Sim, but which type is best? Each one has the pros and cons, but I’d say it comes down to personal preference.

I’m personally a PC sim fan. Here’s some pros and cons as to why I think PC is best.

Pros
  • Higher realism
  • More customization
  • Ability to multitask
  • You don’t have to sacrifice your phone
  • (Usually) One time purchase
  • Cheaper in the long run
  • Can be used without internet
Cons
  • Expensive initial purchase
  • Requires a beefy PC
  • Hardware is pretty much needed
  • Addons can be expensive
  • Can’t be taken with you.

Ah. Still a pretty new sim, so there’s not a ton of addons yet, but I know of atleast 3 projects currently in development.

There’s the TAP A220, WW737max, and I’m pretty sure X-Crafts is converting their xp11 ERJs and EJets for FS2020.

If I am ever so lucky to get a PC sim (which won’t happen at least in the next 3 years) I’ll use the airbus thrustmaster joystick
