Paying to Win @KMDW

Quite a beautiful livery I must say, also a nice thing to see up close and personal at MDW. A nice benefit of MDW over ORD is just how close you can get to the aircraft. Gate C3 which you can see in the third picture is so close to the road that the distance between an aircraft’s wingtip which is parked there and the road is only about 60 feet, and the sidewalk which is adjacent is even less, at about 30 feet

Wow. So the people using the sidewalk basically have an airplane wing almost hanging above them all the time?

Wait till you see the airport that has a highway right behind the runway and no taxiways, just attached to the runway.

Yup, its pretty awesome! Shame ATA no longer operates, they had a hub at MDW, and operated 757-300s which flew into MDW at least a dozen a day. Now all we get is a Delta 757-200 every month or so

Oh, what a shame. Funny thing is, ATA died a month after I was born, so did another airline… :skull:

Oh, and we also had several daily National Airlines 757-200s and a several times weekly Northwest 757-200 as well

Are the only Airbuses at MDW A320neos?

Which National? The best looking one?

Nah, the LCC which operated between 1999-2002

Delta gives us A319-100s and A320-200s
Volaris gives us A320-200s and A320-NEOs
Frontier gives us A320-NEOs
And Allegiant gives us A319-100s and A320-200s

Uh, the one with America as it’s logo? That is the best looking one…
