Norse Atlantic Reveals First US Routes

Norse Atlantic, the replacement airline for Norwegian Long Haul has announced its first 3 routes across the ocean to North America. These routes include:

  • Oslo (OSL) to Fort Lauderdale, Florida (FLL)

  • Oslo (OSL) to Ontario, California (ONT)

  • Oslo (OSL) to Stewart, New York (SWF)

Fort Lauderdale was a big long haul base for Norwegian, so I’m not surprised they announced FLL first. Ontario and Stewart, however are interesting choices in my opinion. Stewart is a primarily domestic airport, and I’m sure there is demand, but that’s interesting to say the least.

I’m excited to see these new routes start in summer 2022!

Tbh I’d expected them to fly to maybe DC or Boston instead of Ontario

SAS already flies to those, so that’s probably why they didn’t.

O ma gaw is this the new Norwegian Long Haul

It is. They bought old DY 787s and just repainted them, rehired their FLL, SWF, and LAX staff to transfer, and bam. They’re flying transatlantic.
