Bogland Airlines Group placed their last order of Boeing 747-400ERs. The order adds another 80000 B744 aircraft to the fleet, bumping up our total amount to 240000. These aircraft will begin delivery in July 2022 and will delivered until 2031, and will mark our last order of Boeing 747-400ERs.
With this, however, Bogland Airlines also announces their first Boeing 747-400ER retirement, with BC-KPC, a 2003 built Boeing 747-493ER, conducting her last commercial flight on June 16th, 2022 as BC7 (she was Bogland Airlines’ 7th Boeing 747-400ER) from Hong Kong to Bogland. After her retirement, she will be moved to the Bogland International Air and Space Museum and put on display. Her forward and upper deck cabin will remain intact, but the rear cabin will be turned into a museum documenting the history of the Boeing 747 with Bogland, from the first Boeing 747-100 in 1970 to today with us operating the largest fleet of Boeing 747s worldwide.
Southwest has recently announced that they will be basing a further 3 -800s at MMI, along with that, American will be basing a single A321 at the airport, making up for the loss the Neo and 320. New routes will be announced very soon
Delta Air Lines as returned to Bogland Capital, with daily flights to Tokyo’s Haneda Airport via Los Angeles using their Boeing 777-200ERs, and daily flights to Honolulu using their Boeing 767-300ERs. The flights to Tokyo now fly as DAL158 to Los Angeles and DAL159 from Los Angeles. The second leg will be operated as DAL7 from Los Angeles to Tokyo (and DAL6 from Tokyo to Los Angeles). Their Honolulu flights operate as DAL160 to Honolulu and DAL161 from Honolulu.
A Bogland Airlines Airbus A321-200 (registered as RY-TMC, operating as BC1098) enroute from Los Angeles to Kahului, Maui had to make an emergency landing in Hilo due to a lavatory fire. We believe the fire started due to a lit cigarette being thrown away in the trash bin. By the time the fire was discovered by a flight attendant, it was already raging out of control. The aircraft at the time was 850 miles from Maui and even with the loss of hydraulics due to the fire, the aircraft managed to make a safe landing. All passengers and crew evacuated the plane upon landing, a flash fire consumed the aircraft 10 minutes after landing, destroying it. Two passengers had to be taken to a nearby hospital due to smoke inhalation. The aircraft destroyed was a 1998 built Airbus A321-231, bought second hand in 2006 from Middle East Airlines. She was scheduled to be overhauled in August.
Hawaiian Airlines has expanded their service from Bogland East Airport, now offering one stop service from Bogland East to Honolulu, Kailua-Kona, Kahului, and Lihue via San Francisco using their Airbus A321neo aircraft. Flights to Honolulu and Lihue will operate daily while flights to Kailua-Kona and Kahului will operate tri-weekly (on Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays). Flights between Bogland East and Honolulu will operate as HAL108 to Honolulu (7:00AM departure) and HAL109 from Honolulu (9:30PM departure). Flights between Bogland East and Lihue will operate as HAL110 to Lihue (8:00AM departure) and HAL111 from Lihue (9:00PM departure). Flights between Bogland East and Kailua-Kona will operate as HAL114 to Kailua-Kona (9:00AM departure) and HAL115 from Kailua-Kona (8:30PM departure). Flights between Bogland East and Kahului will operate as HAL116 to Kahului (10:00AM departure) and HAL117 from Kahului (8:00PM departure). Service will start on July 17th.
Play airlines has just landed in West Michigan, being the second icelandic airline to fly into WMI. They will be flying daily flights between West Mich to Reykjavik on their A320N, challenging IceAir on their MAX 8s. In other news, Southwest has based a further 3 -800s here, bringing the total to 13! They will be adding 8 new routes from WMI!
Singapore Airlines has announced plans to begin nonstop service from Bogland to Singapore using their standard 253 seat Airbus A350-900 aircraft. The start date for this service has not been decided yet, but when it does start, the 20 hour flight will become to longest flight operating out of Bogland by distance and by flight time, taking the crown from the Bogland Airlines operated nonstop Bogland to Bangkok service. This, however, will not replace the already operating Bogland to Singapore via Los Angeles and Bogland to Singapore via Frankfurt flights, which are operated on the Boeing 747-400 and Boeing 747-200 respectively.
