Bogland Airlines has retired their last Sikorsky S-61.The helicopter, BC-JLZ, will be stored in operational condition at Bogland East Airport.

Air Tahiti Nui has expressed interest in starting more weekly flights to Tahiti and Paris, increasing from the current 3 weekly flights to a possible 12 weekly flights. These expansions are due to the routes being some of the most popular with Boglanders. To achieve this, however, would call for expanded terminals and the construction of more remote gates.

Just make the gate times less so the planes leave faster lol

Gate times are already at less than 45 mins due to the insane amount of planes flying in and out of such a small airport. Tests have shown that anything less than 35 mins would lead to complete disaster for the crew.

Too bad
Jk lol

When I renovate my room, I’ll probably have a whole section of my wall dedicated to the airport. If I follow through with these plans, the additions should be done by this summer.

I’m also getting my first job this summer which would pay for these flights

Due to the lack of demand from COVID, The new flights from Madrid and Munich will be delayed at least until September

To put it in perspective, my airport (if put into IRL scale) is about the same size as PHLI

and this airports sees just shy of 90 aircraft movements per day.

Mine sees around 10 hourly

Note that sections C and D aren’t big enough to fit planes larger than a B752.

Also, Bogland Airlines’ order of 20 DHC 6-400 Twin Otters have started arriving today. The first plane (BC-ULM), along with her sisters, will temporarily be placed on operations between Wiu Airport and Peva Seaplane Base before the opening of Bogland Harbor.

The first tricycle plane (BC-ULR) will be placed on island hopping flights, the first one being from Bogland Intl to Carlo Intl. Seats for that flight are now available for booking.
