MD90 - more capacity, more efficient engines, the legendary miniature RB211s, aka IAE V2500
MD80 - more original DC9 feeling to it, good old JT8D

Both are good though!

Some people like the MD-80, some like the A320. Why don’t combine them both? You get the MD-90! With those great engines, and for the people who like them, new screens!

Not any A320, the mini 757 A320
Not the CFMs

MD90 uses IAEV2500, the one that sounds like a mini 757 (a bit more powerful too)
Aka good A320 engine

CFM on the other hand sounds boring and it’s not so good
