0 train services, they want me to book a connecting flight in Madrid. I don’t want to fly, I just spent $1750 to fly from nyc-muc and bcn-ewr direct. (my mom refuses to let me book a connecting flight)

Happy 170th Birthday to Indian Railways

170 years ago on 16 April 1853 the first passenger Train in India took off between Thane and Boribunder,
Sahib, Sindh & Sultan were the three locomotives that pulled the first ever passenger train of India and after that there was no looking back,
We are evolving ever since then,
From steam locos to diesel locomotives to Electric locos and finally now a new era of Indian railways with made in India Trainsets “The Vande Bharat”

One of the largest employer of the world,
One of the biggest transportation network of the world,
One of the busiest network of the world,
One of the cheapest mode of travel,
It’s hard to imagine our lives without the great Indian Railways,

Thanks a lot to all those people who are a part of this organisation, Directly or Indirectly,
We hope to see Indian Railways growing and providing its services to the people of India forever.
