YYYY/MM/DD or DD/MM/YYYY are more logical than MM/DD/YYYY and it’s pretty easy to see why that is the case.
With YYYY/MM/DD you start with the longest measurement of time (year) and end with the shortest (day.)
The reverse is true for DD/MM/YYYY, hence why it makes just as much sense as YYYY/MM/DD.
However, what I don’t understand is why the day is placed after the month but right before the year in MM/DD/YYYY. It’s like starting off right in the middle, taking a step back and making a huge jump to the year right after that.
(YYYY/MM/DD is the standard date format internationally due to ISO 8601.
