No they aren’t vertical. I measured it and it’s about 55°. The A330 is about 35°

A330/340 ailerons point down when flaps are extended acting as mini-flaps creating more lift, it is most likely one of the factors contributing to the aircraft’s outstanding low speed performance.

So does the 787, and it takes it a step further (on landing, the ailerons point up to act as spoilers
