Speaking of flight radar findings… let me find something real quick

Ok so… I don’t know, no one knows what fully happened, but people suspect this RAAF F-35 earlier today, either had some sort of failure that caused it to no longer maintain altitude, or it squawk 7700’d, although it could be both idk. It was last seen on the radar before it stopped instantly and turned red, as people think it may have crashed, but hopefully the pilot ejected. A rescue helicopter (which my other friend then found out it was a rescue helicopter for RAAF) came and circled around the area, in which it probably picked up the pilots, and then dashed it’s way to Amberley Air Base, just west of Brisbane.
Here are some images below:

I don’t know any more than that, no news sources, just this. It was also the most tracked aircraft on Flightradar24, reaching about 1.4k trackers in the end

FYI: Mount Glorious, in which where it ‘crashed’ is West of Brisbane, and a two hour drive north-west from my house on the Gold Coast

Dreamlifter!
