Pay attention to the last two digits.

1² = 1
2² = 4
3² = 9
And so on.

51² = 2601
52² = 2704
53² = 2809

20² = 400
19² = 361
18² = 324
17² = 289

30² = 900
31² = 961
32² = 1024
33² = 1089

80² = 6400
81² = 6561
82² = 6724
83² = 6889

3² = 9
2² = 4
1² = 1

47² = 2209
48² = 2304
49² = 2401
50² = 2500

97² = 9409
98² = 9604
99² = 9801
100² = 10000

20² = 400
21² = 441
22² = 484

70² = 4900
71² = 5041
72² = 5184

10² = 100
11² = 121
12² = 144

60² = 3600
61² = 3721
62² = 3844

This should actually be fairly obvious, but
One 12-inch pizza has more pizza than two 8-inch pizzas.

12-inch
A = πr^2
A = π(6)^2
A = 113.09734

8-inch
A = πr^2
A = π(4)^2
A = 50.26548

113.09374 - 50.26548*2 = 12.56278

And you get almost a quarter of a 3rd 8-inch pizza as well

So using that math, let’s compare the prices of an 8” pizza and 11.5” pizza at Papa Johns, because it’s the closest to 12 inches, and using two different restaurants would be unfair.

8” - £14.53
11.5” - £16.45

So essentially you are paying £1.92 more for 100% more pizza.
