It was good for it’s time, but it would fail miserably in today’s world. Poor fuel economy, loud af (yes, I know you prefer that png, but most of the world holds a different opinion).

I mean, there are still many loud engines in use with numerous airlines, meaning that they choose to continue flying the aircraft for a specific reason, for example operating capabilities.

I didn’t know Qantas had GE engined 747s.

We used to get their 747s all day.
