Suburban trains are basically metro trains that are faster and go further
In Mumbai’s case, you’d have suburban trains go as far as Kasara from CSMT and Dahanu from Churchgate
The furthest metro line afaik is line 4 (that passes through my home lol) that goes from CSMT till Kasarvadavali (still within the general region of Mumbai)
Found a place Marvanthe
“Marvanthe is popular for its landscape and the unique experience of driving on a highway separated with Arabain sea on one side and the emerald green Souparnika River on the other side.”
I can obviously drive there but that would suck because my car is a Honda and I’d probably die before escaping Mumbai traffic or I can rent a car of my choice or take a taxi but they’d all suck (especially those tobacco smelling piece of junk taxis).
Instead I can take a bus to my local train station (it comes every 5 minutes, 24x7), from there a direct train to CSMT (every 3mins or 5mins, slow or fast) and from there either a train to Madgaon, Mangalore, Hubbali-Dharwad, Kundapura, Bijoor, Shiroor or Bhatkal
From Madgaon, Mangalore (I can even fly to Mangalore) and Hubbali-Dharwad I’d have to switch trains and go till Kundapura, Bijoor, Shiroor or Bhatkal
From there KSRTC runs Karnataka Sarige, Airavat Club Class, Ambaari Dream Class buses at decent frequency (30min, 2hr and 5hr) and I also have a ton of private buses to choose from which would take me to Maravanthe
Return I can take a bus or train to Bangalore and then from there I can fly back or take the train back from there
From the airport T2 I can take 447 or 448 to Andheri Station (E) and then metro till Ghatkopar and train back home from there or S-106 till IIT and then bus back home or take the direct bus back home (not disclosing the number)
From airport T1 I can take 422 till IIT and then bus back home or S-106 till IIT and bus back home or 308 (ig, not sure) to Santacruz, train till Andheri, metro till Ghatkopar and train back home or I can obv take a taxi or auto
Just googled it and honestly it seems like what the Civic should be.
Weirdly, this compact city car is about the same size as my mid-size Subaru wagons that were designed in the 80s (yeah, they didn’t really like to make changes to their cars and the Legacy platform remained (mostly) unchanged from 1988 to 2009). It’s amazing to see how much bigger cars have gotten in the past 20 years.
