Are you sure about that though? In the early 90s, the gen 1 Explorer had better stock off road performance than the jeeps of the time.

The new Bronco still has better stock off road performance than comparable jeeps. I’m not gonna deny that jeeps are great 4x4s, but they’re only really good when modded or if you get the rubi package (which isn’t a huge upgrade).
