After announcing service to Los Angeles International Airport (KLAX) and San Bernardino International Airport (KSBD) earlier this year, Breeze Airways has debuted a third Southern California destination: Orange County's John Wayne International Airport (KSNA).
The airline will begin offering daily flights between The O.C. and Salt Lake City’s Provo Airport (KPVU) and Florida’s Orlando International Airport (KMCO), beginning February 16, 2023. Both routes will be served by the airline’s Airbus A220 series aircraft.
Allegiant currently offers 2x weekly flights between John Wayne and Provo Airports using the Airbus A319 and A320, leading to more competition, especially with Breeze planning to use their larger A220 aircraft rather than their smaller Embraer E190/95 aircraft.
Orange County, CA, will be Breeze’s 100th nonstop destination and 34th “city” served. With it, both California’s and Florida’s Orange Counties will be connected by a nonstop flight for the first time in history. No other direct flights to The Sunshine State have existed from Orange County’s John Wayne International Airport until now.
