Yeah, I remember asking my mom to drive me across the entirety of LA from Oceanside, CA to ONT to see the Air China Boeing 77W land.

But yeh, my mom was living in Kowloon City for 20 years until the year after I was born. My grandfather has photos of Kai Tak stuff in HK and i’ll have to ask to see the photos next time I visit. It’s really awesome stuff. To bad Kai Tak was closed in 2006.
