Yeah, but I’d hardly call rap lyric slang a ‘local’ thing. If you regularly listen to it, then you’re used to it regardless of where you live. It’s just become kind of like the expected lingo of the genre.
Local slang for example would be someone from the immediate area around where I live calling the local ski mountain sunny. It means nothing to someone who doesn’t live within like 50mi of Glenwood, but 80% of people here would know exactly what you’re talking about.
