Also props for not going to LAX for a direct flight like everyone does.
Though LAX is 2 hours from you.
Even here in OC. People drive to LAX when they could just get the same flight from SNA. Sometimes even LGB or ONT.
Going to BCN from SAN or LAX is roughly the same price
But if you wanted to go to Manila from LAX instead of SAN it would be at least $400 cheaper

If I flew to Tokyo I’d rather drive 2 hours to SAN than go through LAX.
And Taiwan I’d obviously go to ONT over LAX any day.

The -313X, which already got a thrust bump, is still nonetheless notorious for being underpowered.
It wasn’t supposed to be underpowered anyways.
Airbus just built an aircraft that needed engines that weren’t developed yet. So they had to choose those ones instead.
They meant for different ones but the technology wasn’t there.
