A new 757-200 would be most successful I think though

If Boeing would’ve started that a few years back they’d have a better edge on Airbus with the XLR

I’d live to see a new 757. If they launched the two in a pair like they did in the 80s, that would be :fire:

Yes that’s true

I like the XLR, but a 757X would be far superior.

Imagine a 737 replacement coming out with a 757X or smth

So if the 757-9 was a 757-200, and a 757-10 was a 757-300, then 737 replacements would have to be -7 replacing MAX8, and -6 replacing MAX7.

I mean, they could do it, but that would be a lot of new variants to a plane that has been out of production for almost 20yrs.

Exactly. Why would you want it replaced?

I know it’s time will come, but let the 737 live just a little while longer.

Thats until it becomes a burden for Boeing and they have to make a replacement

yes

just 1 more engine or 1 more avionics upgrade

Yes. What would they call it though? 737X? They made the poor decision of starting the MAX series at 7, 8, 9, and 10, so that doesn’t really leave any room for continuing that name.

737X

My maths teacher now : “It is -3 because it is -3”

That’s my way of explaining math. I hate that teachers make us show our work for something that we can do in our heads. Or make us explain how we got an answer.
