We can typically go through a low 5 here without injuries or damage (just things getting knocked of shelves and walls but nothing serious)
Might get the occasional minor injury but that’s common with any quake over a 5.0, and it’s not wide spread. Just a few people here and there. I think our last 5.1 was only 1 injury or something like that. Not bad for a few million people being exposed

The worst weather event I’ve ever gone through was a tornado but it only happened once and the closes it got to my house was a couple miles. School was closed for a week though

Now tornadoes are scary when they are in a populated area and/or close by to you

Yeah I’ve only had one in my whole lifetime, the worst weather that we get somewhat frequently are hurricanes

We’ve only ever gotten remnants of a hurricane or a tropical storm hitting us. Never a hurricane. Which I’m fine with

It’s kinda fun not knowing when the next quake will hit. Depending on the temblor you can sometimes hear it coming but other times not.
It’s just something we live with here. Always in the back of your mind
