United’s seats are better. But it depends what aircraft.
Not their domestic 772s from what I’ve heard…
Americans Non-Legacy A321’s suck. I flew them a couple of times. Their Legacy A321’s are really good though.
Oasis planes are not so good
I just realized that whenever our family flies anywhere, we always sit in the same configuration. We always sit on the left side of the plane. I get the window seat, my sister gets the aisle seat, and my dad sits across from my sister on the aisle. My mom either gets a seat in another row or sits in the middle seat. My grandparents either sit with my mom or sit in the row behind my dad. If my friend, who I’ll call “Katy Perry” and her family are traveling with us, they sit in the row behind us, so that Katy Perry, my sister, and I can have constant access to each other.
They are pretty good, I’ve flown the Oasis 737’s 3 times in the past year.
They have reduced the seat pitch on Oasis A320/321 though.
What’s an Oasis? Is it a cabin configuration?
That’s a little tight. (Not as tight as Spirit though)
I flew on one of their legacy B738s from NOLA to Los Angeles, and that might’ve been the worst flight I’ve ever taken.
They are the planes that will make American into the world’s largest LCC
Yes. Agreed. The best A321s in AA fleet are the ‘premium’ ones (those flying JFK-SFK/LAX).
I like their Oasis planes. They’re more modern and the seats are more comfortable. That might just be because I’m the size of a large chihuahua, so I’m able to sit still look pretty better.
The Oasis are tight, you suffer if you have a personal item, but I think the seats are OK because you can stretch. But it is quite tight
SNA too now
Like, here is a comparison between 2 airlines with one of the newest member’s of each’s fleet, the Boeing 737-MAX 8:
United:
American:
Also I had the pleasure of a bulkhead seat in main cabin extra so that made the experience better.
