I just don’t like it. Especially when there’s another option, aka a car. Id rather spend 5 hours more in traffic anyways lol.

if thats the case, then you should ask for more transit aka more people using buses/trains/trams and less traffic on the road for you and also less a$$hole drivers for you to deal with
Ah yes, because a bit of un-maintained asphalt is the same as high speed rail.

if youre capable of building roads everywhere, then rails shouldnt be an issue as they are less resource intensive and occupy less space
a 2 track railway moves more people than a 4 lane highway on average
The Interstate highway system was built in the post-World War II economic boom. Our economy hasn’t been as strong in a long time, so it’s probably not as easy to do so now.
